We had our first tropical rain storm today. It was beautiful! It hit quick and hard and caught many people off guard. The rain quickly filled the hotel courtyard with large pools of water. The kids found a way to have fun with it. It's very different from kelso rain. It rained so hard at times that it hurt and when the rain began you could see the rain coming down the street at you like a wall of grey. You could hear it as well. It sounded like traffic that slowly got louder and louder until it got your attention and then suddenly it was upon you. Lots of good thunder too and some lighting. After it was over it cooled the place off, but it later turned into another hot evening in Yucatan.
